Bennett Associates is this
week (18-22 October) attending an international
conference in London focused on subjects critical to winning, servicing and
retaining clients with multi-market business interests. Alliott Group’s
Worldwide Conference will be attended by 150 leading professional advisers from
76 independent, owner managed firms located in 36 countries.
Hosted by Alliott
Group, an award-winning international alliance of independent, mid-market
accounting and law firms, the conference provides attendees from local firms
all over the world with access to knowledge and professional contacts that
enable them to service more efficiently commercial and private clients who need
assistance in multiple geographic markets.

conference, speakers will include representatives from the Bank of England, the
Department for International Trade, the Confederation of British Industry, Meridian
West and Farnham Castle Intercultural Training.
The programme will
equip attendees from Grant
Bennett Associates, as well as the
managing and senior partners from other Alliott Group member firms, with not
only the required technical and professional skills to serve clients across
borders, but to also the development of a ‘global mindset’ that will ensure
successful communications across cultures when entering foreign markets.
Attendees will also gain a better understanding of what clients really want
from their professional advisers.
Representatives
from Grant Bennett
Associates will also attend meetings of the alliance’s
specialist technical groups that will host roundtable discussions on topics
such as the impact on internationally focused SMEs of recent international tax
developments, particularly national implementations of proposals in the
OECD/G20 Base Erosion & Profit Shifting (BEPS) project that is targeting
tax avoidance and that have a bearing on permanent establishment risks and
transfer pricing strategies.
The conference will
also see alliance Chairman John Kleopas (Kleopas Alliott, Greece) hand over the
reins to new Chairman Ken Miles (NSBN LLP, Los Angeles) after serving a four
year term that has culminated in the alliance recently winning the 2016 Rising
Star Association of the Year award from The Accountant/International Accounting
Bulletin (Timetric).
James Hickey,

to date in terms of the number of attendees. It is the marquee event of our
Business Advantage Program that includes events at the national, regional and
international levels, as well as training and education programs that are
designed to support growing local professional services firms that want to
reach the next level of their development but remain fully independent.”
About Grant Bennett Associates (Sacramento, California)
In
1960 a young man wanted to establish a different kind of CPA firm. Grant
Bennett believed in the core principles of be active in your community and be
active in your profession. If he was still with us he would be 84 years old
this year. Starting a CPA firm at the ripe old age of 29 took a lot of courage
on Grant’s part. He was a visionary, but could he have imagined what Grant Bennett Associates has developed into today.
Following Grant’s principles, we are a caring, client oriented firm. Our approach to accounting, auditing, and tax services is built on this. We concentrate on creating and maintaining a close and constructive relationship with our clients always. We promise to be responsive to the needs of our clients throughout the year. Our Mission Statement reads as follows; “… to provide outstanding client service that transcends the usual CPA-Client relationship in order to help our clients achieve their goals and objectives.”
